Hi Everyone

HAPPY NEW YEAR!  Wishing every one the best of luck for the next 12 months.  New years bring new challenges and joys.  We will soon be moving to Victoria to a new farm and new beginnings.  Our horses are coming with us and we will be able to continue our pure polish Arabians and also expand our Arabian Ponies.  We have some new ponies to join us in Victoria.  A selection of mares, fillies and colts from Amaranda stud at Cudal in the Central West.  Huge thankyou to Peter Taubman for enabling us to get ponies of such high quality and excellent breeding.  We now have an Australian pony colt that will be gracing the showring as soon as we are settled.  Amaranda Jumbuck (pictured right) is Palomino and should mature approx 13.2hds.  Sired by Amaranda Coolibah Classic from Amaranda Jingles he has all the proven Australian pony lines.  He is sure to breed fantastic Arabian Ponies.
Also from Amaranda is Amaranda Worth a Fortune.  (pictured left) A Palomino Welsh B colt from Amaranda Ona Fortune and sired by Trentlyn Platinum, he is a very pretty colt that should mature approx 13hds.
Amaranda Snuffbox, (pictured right) a chestnut Welsh B mare with a lovely Trentlyn Platinum colt at foot has also joined us.  Sired by Derralea Hamlet she is from Amaranda Chatterbox.  Snuffbox and her colt foal Amaranda Soapbox will fit in well with our pony program.  Amaranda Simmer is also sired by Derralea Hamlet and Amaranda Cecelia is sired by Amaranda Journal.  Both these fillies will grace the showring and later be broodmares.  They are joining Amaranda Fabulous to complete our pony breeding program.

For the first time in a few years we have decided to join some purebred mares to Chronicle DV, WH Zmanor E and Walidayt.  That will be interesting when foaling season arrives.  It was very nice not having to be up all night with mares foaling!  We have also been busy breeding the Shetland mares.  We have put 4 Wells Rising Star daughters to Gar-won Tristian.  We eagerly await these foals.

In between trying to pack and organise the sale of the property and purchase of the next property we have this years foals to wean.  Starting soon will be CP Trigger (Manildra Rob Roy x CP Topp Secrett) and Amaranda Soapbox (Trentlyn Platinum x Amaranda Snuffbox).  Then depending on when we are able to get to the new farm there are the 2 black Arabian Pony Colts sired by Owendale Jordan from the Chronicle DV Daughters CP Texas Tilly and CP Esmeralda.  CP Texas Ranger and CP Jackson (pictured left).  Also with the last couple will be Trelawny Al Capone, a Shetland colt.  Emily's Shetland mares are pictured below.  All photo credits to Belinda Richardson of Khaliffa Arabians.

We are having a sale of machinery and household items.  13, 14th & 15th January.  Lots of stuff.  Give us a call.

Cheers

Past Updates

Well......The farm at Cowra is under offer and Coolinda Park is moving south so we are needing to sell some mares, fillies and geldings.  Expressions of interest of invited on all horses listed on the sales page.  This will be the last chance to purchase Coolinda Park pure polish horses from the Central West of NSW.  Take this chance to save on transport if you are in the vicinity or in the Northern parts of Australia.  We cant take them all with us so now is the time to act!  The horses are all in excellent condition with all paperwork up to date.  Mares are ready to breed and all ready to break in.  Dont waste any time as we will be moving in the new year.

Emilys' shetlands went to the Shetland Supershow at Bathurst in October.  What a fantastic event!  Only held every 5 years it was very exciting to be able to part of such an encouraging show.  Lerwick Abby won her under 8.2hd filly class and 4th in the coloured filly under 10.2hd class.  Gar-won Tristan was fourth in his strong stallion class and Thorpeville Amos was 2nd in the costume, 2nd handler and 3rd in the rider class.  A successful show for our first large Shetland show.  We learnt heaps and met many wonderful people.  All of them willing to lend a hand and to discuss breeding.

Earlier in October Emily compete in her first endurance ride.  20kms at Woodstock on CP Aflame N Sin (Blondy).  Blondy took some time out to do his first endurance ride too.  Emily had never ridden Blondy before then and they did an excellent job.  Emily took Blondy thru the vet checks before and after the ride with no fuss.  She did the ride in 2hrs and 30mins.  Many thanks for Deanna and Roy from Dumaresq Arabians at Dunedoo.  They took Em under their wings and helped her all the way through including Deanna riding with her the whole 20kms.  Im sure Deanna has never had so much entertainment on a ride before!  On return Em wanted to do the 80km the next day.  She was even eyeing off her shetlands to do another 20km!  Next year we are sure to compete in some more endurance.

End of the month and Emily will be competing at the National Capital Horse Show in Canberra with Toppy.  Lots of classes over the 3 days so sure to be a very busy time.  Catch up with us at the show for sales lists or a chat about the horses.

Hi

Off to Grenfell show with Emily and her shetlands!  Garwon Tristian came home with Champion Stallion, Lerwick Abby Resv Champion Coloured Shetland and Thorpeville Amos Resv Champion Gelding.  Emily won her handler class with Buddy.  Toppgunn also accompanied the Shetlands and Emily won her rider class and her western pleasure class.  The next day was Woodstock show and Emily came home Supreme Shetland won by Lerwick Abby and resv Champion Showhunter pony with Toppgunn.  Then we went to Cowra show firstly with Toppgunn and CP Aflame N Sin (Blondy).  Emily showed Blondy for Resv Champion Arabian Derivative led.  Megan Bryant rode him in the showhunter pony classes winning the Novice and adults class.  Megan then stepped off Blondy and onto her own horse to win the jump off in the D grade showjump!  A very versatile and competant rider!  Blondy and Megan also won the Prep 3 and Prelim 1C with scores over 73%.  Emily won her Pony Club rider and Pony Club mount.  They also placed 3rd in the Prep 3.  The 2  in the Shetland team came home with Abby placing second in the mare class and Buddy winning the gelding class and then resv champion Shetland.  Em and Buddy also won the ridden Shetland class.

We have put some extra mares onto the sales page.  Please have a look and see if there is one that suits your needs.  We have our first foal on the ground.  A Palomino colt sired by Manildra Rob Roy from the Toppgunn daughter CP Topp Secrett.  And he is such a cutey!  Already has the friendly attitude of his father.  He is running with his Mum and Dad and loves to spend time with Dad!  He shares his oats and plays in the paddock with him.  Mum doesnt play like Dad!!  We still have one more Roy foal due and 3 other Arabian Ponys.

Thank you for all your kind thoughts, cards and messages for our loss.  Please accept our thanks as it was so greatly appreciated.

Hi All

Well as promised I have the details of the new black stallion at Coolinda Park.  He is Gar-Won Tristan.  A Shetland stallion that is the foundation sire of another branch at Coolinda Park.  The Shetland part of Coolinda Park is being founded by Emily Peck.  Emily has been showing her Shetland gelding Thorpeville Amos since she got him as a birthday present for her 4th birthday.  This year she took him to Canberra Royal and placed a very good 4th in an extremely strong class of geldings.  Emily was the only child handler in the ring and did herself proud when she stood him up (like an Arab) and worked him out amongst all the noise and distractions.  She was very much on her own from when you enter the arena no one can accompany you.  Standing on the outside of the arena it was quite nerve wracking as Em was only 8yo and it doesn't take much for anything to go wrong.  "No Mum I will be fine.  I don't need you to take him!"  I am told by Emily as off she goes with all the adults, past the showjumpers and the other working horses.  On the way out Em followed the red coats and does a little bypass and leads Buddy over some poles on the ground!  Smiling all the way and so proud of her 4th place.  Then to top off the day Em rode Buddy in the grand   Parade.  Out amongst the big horses not in the shetland area!  So when the opportunity came up to get Tristan we jumped at it.  We now have two mares to join him.  Shady Glen Farrah and Lerwick Abby.  And so off to the Shetland shows we go!  Farrah will foal to and then be joined to Tristian.  Abby is only two so will be shown by Emily and then broken in.  She will be later bred to Tristian.  Emily's aim is to breed tall Shetlands that can be fun family horses and that kids can enjoy as much as she has with Buddy and friends.

For the next addition to Coolinda Park is our change in breeding program.  Probably not so much a change but just a slightly different direction!  We have recently acquired some Highland Cows.  We have purchased a young bull who will be campaigned before being used at stud.  The cows have settled in well at Coolinda Park with WH Zmanor E running alongside of them and touching noses over the fence.  With their huge horns and long hairy coats they definitely make a pretty sight in the paddock.  Blondy is sure they are a relative cause some are the same colour.  They have long forelocks and really enjoy a scratch.  They are soon going to start calving to a Brahman bull and orders have already been taken for the calves due to their unusual breeding!  We have already had offers on the cows as well due to their quality.  These cows wont be going anywhere though!  They love their oats of an afternoon and come when called.  Really pleasant animals.  So not only will we be at the Shetland shows we will soon be back in the cattle ring as well!

Back to the Arabians....Congratulations to Belinda Richardson of Khaliffa Arabians and her filly CP Whistlin Dixxie (Walidayt imp USA x CP Diamond Lil).  She was shown at her first show after being prepared by KEA training and was awarded Supreme Champion Arabian.  Fantastic result for all involved.  The Walidayt imp USA stock are proving themselves to be wonderful all round horses.  CP Whistlin Dixxie is one of the oldest progeny of Walidayt and she is only 3yo.  Her dam CP Diamond Lil needs no introduction.  Sired by Creme Dynasty imp USA she has won numerous supremes including champion mare at the Nationals in Sydney.  Now her daughter is sure to do the same.

Past Updates.

We had a successful show at the Morongla Foal and Youngstock show in May.  CP Aflikka Sand (Manildra Rob Roy x CP Aflikka Soot) our Arabian Pony filly came home with 3 Supremes!  She won Champion Arabian Pony and Supreme Derivative, Champion Palomino and Supreme Coloured, Champion PB APSB and Supreme Pony and Part Welsh Filly and Supreme Part Welsh.  She also got to meet some wonderful new friends!

We again went to the South Western Appaloosa and All Breeds Show at Young showground.  Emily and Toppgunn have won the yearly highpoint for the Youth and Pony Club section.  Emily has learnt a lot at these shows in the Western events.  We also took CP Aflame N Sin (Brampton Sinbad x CP Aflame).  He won Champion Other Breed and Champion Palomino.  Below is a photo of CP Frezja (WH Zmanor E imp USA x CP Foxiling) competing at the Gala Event in QLD with her owner and handler Lisa Smith of Foxridge Farm.  They were awarded Top 5.

Endurance news:  Walidayt imp USA has successfully completed 3 80km rides including winning the lightweight section of the Cedar Ridge ride at Easter.  Walidayt is now spelling until starting again later in the year.  His daughters are growing so well with CP Dance With Me (Walidayt imp USA x Dancing in the Dark) standing at 15hds as a 2yo and CP Walencia (Walidayt imp USA x CP Errika) measuring a very beautiful 14.3hds and growing more every day.  CP Walencia has the Monogramm look and every one who sees her is very taken with her.  CP Whistlin Dixxie (Walidayt x CP Diamond Lil) has been purchased by Belinda Richardson of Khaliffa Arabians.  Wiosna Polska (Walidayt x Sienna Polska) has been puchased by Katrina Branxton of Vic.  Both these big moving fillies will be gracing the show ring soon.  Warr of the Roses (Creme Dynasty imp USA x Lilliane iid UK) a pure polish stallion owned and ridden by Deanna Trevena has won the recently won the lightweight and best conditioned at the NSW State Championships at St Albans.   So Polish horses ranging all the way back to Skowronek to our modern day stock are still leading the way!  Deanna also trains and rides Walidayt so she has a couple of handy pure polish stallions.  Congratulations on your results!

Sales news:  CP Kataryzna (WH Zmanor E x CP Kaliope) has been purchased by Sienna Arabians in Victoria.  CP Enya (Khundjur imp UK x M Eternity exp NZ) has been purchased by Katrina Braxton and will head to Victoria after being bred to WH Zmanor E imp USA to join Wiosna Polska and CP Elizja.   CP Klara has sold to a lovely home at Moonbi in Northern NSW.  Klara will be a brood mare and possible show mare for Linda Keogh who is wanting to come back into the Arabian world and loves the Polish horses.  CP Klara is such a sweet mare, I'm glad that she will have a special home.  We have some mares available for sale that can be bred to Chronicle or WH Zmanor E.  See the sales page for more details.

Things will quieten for the next couple of months.  We have 4 mares due to foal in the spring.  One to Manildra Rob Roy and 3 to Owendale Jordan.  4 Arabian Pony foals!  Keep up to date by following us on facebook.

Past Updates

We have decided to have a $5000 and under sale.  Many mares and fillies that haven't been available and others that have been reduced by half.  Now is the time to purchase a pure polish mare.  The stallions will again be standing at stud for the months of Aug, Sept and Oct 2011 at $1500 each.  This includes 6 weeks agistment.  Some sale mares can be joined to WH Zmanor E imp USA or Chronicle DV for $750.  See the sales page for more details.

Our recent events include the Donges IGA Young Dressage Championships held at Bendick Murrel.  This is a very well organised and strongly supported competition that attracts entrants from all over NSW, ACT and Vic.  CP Aflame N Sin (Brampton Sinbad x CP Aflame) competed in his first dressage comp and only his second outing (pictured right).  Perfectly ridden by Megan Bryant of Cowra 'Blondy' entered in the Prix Caprilli, prep and 2 prelim tests.  Blondy and Megan came home with a 1st in the Prep test and 2nd in the other 3 tests.  Megan has recently returned from Europe where she represented Australia in the Young rider dressage competition on her mare Donnabella.  Megan is a very successful rider and has done an excellent job on Blondy.  He loves to see her and she is able to get the best out of him.  Also competing at the Dressage was Emily and Toppgunn.  They competed in a Prep test, prix Caprilli and 3 Prelim tests.  They came home with 4 fourths and an =6th.  They also competed in a Freestyle Prelim to the rock sounds of Pink.  They definitely turned heads when the music started up! Below is Toppy and Em in the prix caprilli.

We have also been working on our western pleasure and other western events at the South Western Appaloosa and all breeds show.  Held every month at Young showground in the indoor arena this show is great for young horses and for anyone wanting some practice out.  CP Adazha Flazh has started led trail classes which he is finding very interesting.  He didnt find it anywhere near as exciting as the mule that was being shown.  She fluttered her eyes at him and he thought she was the most beautiful thing he had seen!  Such big ears!!!!  Young boys.....!!!  CP Walencia was also shown with many wins.  Great starter shows.

We are now on facebook so keep up with photos and whats happening and become friends with us.

Cheers

Hi All

What a fantastic Aussies!  Tamworth was the best facility to host an event of this prestige.  So user friendly and the horses loved it.  Everything is close to the stables and a quick drive and you are in the centre of Tamworth.  What more could you ask for?  We started our show on the first day with the Western Pleasure classes.  Emily (my 8yo granddaughter) was entered in the Youth Western Pleasure on Toppgunn and Toppgunn was also entered in the open class.  Emily decided the day before that she wanted to ride Toppy in the open class.  After explaining that it was against bigger horses with adult riders Em still insisted on doing it!  So out for practise which consisted of cantering around with reins in one hand and pretending to shoot like John Wayne in an old movie!  After the western classes it was time for CP Aflikka Soot (Brampton Sinbad x CP Aflikka) to grace the ring for the Arabian Pony mare championship.  And grace the ring she did!  With her palomino filly at foot CP Aflikka Soot glided around the ring and her gorgeous filly showing how its done.  Sooty was awarded Australian Champion with a unanimous decision for all the judges.  Her grandmother CP Aflame would have been so proud!

Emily and Toppy kept competing with lots of classes throughout the week.  As time went on they were more confident and really enjoying the show.  A huge thankyou to Donna Taff and Gallery Equine.  Without her help and expertise Emily wouldn't have looked so good.  Donna has the most unbelievable riding coats and accessories.  All sizes and shapes with all the stuff to match.

Next update will include our latest events including Donges IGA Young Dressage Champs and a Western show run by South Western Appaloosa Association.

Past updates

We are on our way to the Aussies!  Stopping to visit Dumaresq Arabians at Elong Elong we have given the ponies a rest overnight.   What wonderful hospitality!  Lamb roast and a tour around 4000 acres!  We were able to see the endurance horses, some in training and some just growing.  Some very beautiful Walidayt stock that are growing quite tall.  Walidayt imp USA himself is in preparation for his first endurance ride.  We also saw a stunning black Walidayt gelding with the most exotic head.  Stunning!  And proof that Walidayt has the black genetics and can breed black foals.  We also saw Warr of the Roses out running with his mares.  At 14 yrs he is looking fantastic.  Running in huge paddocks he is really enjoying life.  A really lovely substantial stallion with a pretty but masculine head and correct confirmation.  His cows took a lot of interest in us too!

Tomorrow we head off for the final part of our drive to Tamworth.  We are looking forward to getting there and seeing the AELEC centre in Tamworth.  It should be fantastic!  We are competing every day with a team of four horses.  Well four and a bit!  I will try and keep you updated all the way through.

Recently we competed at Koorawatha Show.  We took Buddy (Thorpeville Amos), CP Aflame N Sin and Toppgunn.  A very successful day especially with CP Aflame N Sin (Brampton Sinbad x CP Aflame), a Palomino arabian pony that had his first outing under saddle.  He was expertly ridden by Megan Bryant of Cowra.  Megan and Blondy have teamed up and are really enjoying themselves.  Megan has recently returned from Germany after competing in the young rider dressage competition and representing Australia.  A huge effort for a young lady.  A huge thankyou to Megan for helping us out.  Emily and Toppgunn had a very successful day by winning her rider classes and placing highly in a lot of others.  A perfect warm up for the Aussies.  Emily also showed Buddy for Champion Shetland against very strong competition.  Emily and Buddy also won the ridden Shetland class.  They competed in the shetland gelding class a Canberra Royal and placed a very good fourth.  It was an extremely strong class and Emily took him out on her own against all the adults.

Yesterday Emily and Toppgunn competed at a Pony Club gymkhana where she won her dressage test and was second in her jumping.  She was her age champion overall and won a lovely ribbon and garland.

I have some photos taken recently at the farm.  These are the mares on the hill.  Photos taken by Belinda Richardson of Kaliffa Arabians

Happy New Year!!!!

As we enter the first month of 2011 so much has happened around Australia.  Our thoughts are with everyone who has been affected by the floods.  To help out we are donating a filly to be auctioned with all proceeds going to the flood victims.  Please have a look at the Arabian Horse Society website at www.ahsa.asn.au to see details and to place your bid.  If you are the winning bidder then not only do you get a top filly but you are helping those in need.  When she is in your paddock you will be reminded of the way you have helped others in their time of need.  If you are able to donate to the auction please contact Amy at Impressive Web Design.  Amy is organising it all and does a fantastic job on websites etc.  If you are in need of a website or someone to maintain yours please contact Amy at www.impressivewebdesign.com.au

CP Winston has been sold to Lisa and Ray Smith of Foxridge Arabians at Coffs Harbour.  They are really excited about getting Winston and now have 2 pure Polish colts that can be used with their mares and crossed between them.

There are lots of events coming up that we will hopefully be able to show at.  We have donated garlands for lots of events too.  The first is the 2011 Donges IGA Young Dressage Championships at Bendick Murrell in April.  There is a garland for the Highest Purebred and one for the Derivative as well.  Please visit their website at www.youngdressage.com or contact Maryann Schiller at mac1980@westnet.com.au for more details and entries.  We were able to donate last year and the derivatives were well supported so hopefully some purebreds can come out this year to compete.  There are quite a few purebreds competing very well in dressage and in pony dressage.  Lets see them at Bendick Murrell.

There is a foal and youngstock show to be held on the 1st of May in the undercover arena at Charles Sturt University (CSU) Wagga Wagga, NSW. Classes for most breeds for foals and followed by classes for Young Stock.  Ridden 3 year old classes prior to foal show, first thing in the morning.  Full program of events will be available as soon as finalised.  There will be a garland for champion purebred foal and champion purebred youngstock.  For more details on this event please contact Kylie Place on 02-6968 4380 for information on sponsorship and the show itself

Photo below is CP Louisville who is proving to be a wonderful endurance horse competing with Noni Seagrim.  Noni also has CP Kaliente and has broken her in and getting her ready for endurance.

Hi All

We have come back from the National Capital Horse Show in Canberra and what a great time we had!  We took 4 horses and they were all successful but the most successful was Emily and Toppgunn.  An 8yo and 23yo doing every class they could in the Youth section.  On Friday they competed in 2 dressage tests where they were placed second in the trot test and 3rd in the Prelim test.  It was there first time doing the canter test.  Emily also won the encouragement award for the dressage.  On Saturday started the youth classes.  After placing 2nd in a large Derivative senior head class they then won the handler 9yrs & under.  Then the following: 2nd rider, 1st hack, 2nd & resv champion Bridle Path Hack, 4th showhunter, 1st pleasure, 3rd costume and 1st in the western pleasure.  It was her first time doing the costume and the western pleasure and Emily was 4th on the junior judging.  That evening Emily and Toppgunn were award the junior highpoint award and did a lap of honour.  They also won the encouragement award for the youth ring on Saturday.  At the end of the day there was one very happy and tired kid and a very tired old pony.  They were all revved up to go out the next day but it rained too much.  Im sure Toppgunn ordered the rain!!!!
Although at the time it didnt seem like it but we did take other horses to the show!  CP Hello Dolly Chronicle DV x Lelani, was shown in the broodmare class which she won.  It has been many years since Dolly has been in the show team.  CP Alfikka Soot Brampton Sinbad x CP Aflikka won Champion Arabian Pony Mare, Champion multi rego'd and on Sunday Champion Dilute Ancillary mare and best senior dilute ancillary.  The rain was way too heavy to go out in any of the other classes entered.  CP Adasha Flazh WH Zmanor E x CP Aflikka Soot was also shown.  He won the derivative owners group with his mum CP Aflikka Soot, 2nd arabian pony colt and 3rd in the ancillary colt on Sunday.  He did not like the rain one bit and straight back to his stable he went!  We had a great show catching up with a lot of people and using the opportunity to promote the horses.  Lots of photos to follow in next update.

I am updating the sales list with new horses and photos.  We have for sale the first pure polish colt sired by Walidayt imp USA.  He is very pretty, huge moving, correct colt that would be a huge asset to any breeding program.  A pure polish Ganges grandson......search the internet and see how many of those are for sale in Australia and what price they are overseas.  While searching have a look at what Ganges is producing.  Then jump at the opportunity to have this colt on your own paddock.  There is also 2 fillies available sired by Walidayt.  A yearling and a 2yo.  So much potential in front of them.  They could have show and saddle careers and then be very valuable broodmares.

I have some photos of the horses taken around the farm recently.  These photos are taken by Belinda Richardson of Khaliffa Arabians and Bull Mastiffs.  Our thanks goes out to Belinda for her help.

Photo left is CP Dance with Me Walidayt x Dancing in the Dark and CP Dewiza WH Zmanor E x CP Darowizna.  Both 2yo fillys.

NEWS FLASH............The very beautiful chestnut mare Zeahan, sired by CP Aflames son Up In Flames and from the Creme Dynasty mare CP Xza Xza has just won Champion Mare at the Victorian Championships under a Brazilian judge.  Congratulations to all connections with this stunning mare.

Hi Everyone

The past few months have been filled with excitement and unexpected pleasures.  In late August Belinda Simonds from Pegasus Arabians in New Zealand arrived and then other visitors from Abu Dubi and Malaysia.  We spent several days here at Coolinda Park with the horses, then Belinda and I set off heading North and the rest of the group headed for the Shahzada planning to go north from there.

I would like to thank the owners who made time to show Belinda and myself their beautiful horses.  These Queensland studs went out of their way to make our visits possible and very enjoyable.  Thanks again to Lee and John, Deb and Ian, Lynn Hall also Eddie Burridge for finding two very lost visitors and a special thank you to Kim Cox, who in the midst of absolute mayhem took lots of time out to take us around to studs with very special Polish horses.   Belinda and I kept getting completely lost but thankfully I knew where the sun should be so that got us back on track each time!  Leaving Queensland we headed back through NSW with a detour to the coast to visit long time friends Lisa and Ray Smith of Foxridge Farms.  The timing was great with sensational weather and all the horses looking fabulous!  We then headed to Armidale to stay with friends.  We had a little shopping trip to Horseland at Armidale.  Very knowledgeable service from this Horseland and I thoroughly recommend it anyone needing something from Horseland.  We loaded up the car and depleted the bank balance and headed back towards Cowra.  We had a short stop with Deanna Trevana and Roy Barnsby and their group of very successful Polish bred endurance horses and then home.  Belinda left a few days later, arrived in Christchurch at 12.00 am and then proceeded to her daughters flat for the rest of the night only to be thrown out of bed at 3.50am by an earthquake!  Since then she has endured over 1400 tremors and a great deal of destruction to her home.  Not a very good welcome home!  Australia must be looking good by now.......heat and all!!!

We have sold a couple more mares.  CP Xza Xza has gone to Mudgee as a broodmare for endurance riders and M Carousel has been sold to South Australia.  CP Ekstaza has sold to Victoria. The stallions now have a full book and no longer stand at stud.  Thank you very much for the interest shown.

I am updating the sales list and soon will release the 2nd stage of the dispersal.  As you can see sales are going well and the new owners are more than happy with their new horses.  We have been to a couple of shows.  Cowra show was a lot of fun as Emily and Toppgunn competed in the dressage and the Pony club events.  They were very successful and Emily also competed with her shetland gelding Buddy (Thorpeville Amos) and won champion shetland.  I think she had more fun outside of the ring with her young school friends riding Buddy around!  Lots of laughter and giggles.  Little girls love their ponies!

Some news from Noni Seagrim and her new mare CP Kaliente.  This mare has only had basic handling when weaned and has spent the rest of her life running in the herd.  She is a big strong mare sired by Chrinicle DV and from the Lingxiu mare CP Kaitling.  Her endurance potential is enormous and with Noni is sure to be reached.

Hi Carol,
Sorry I have not updated you for a while, I've been flat out with exams in the last few days!
Yesterday Kally took another huge step all in her stride... she quite happily let me lean over her and 'ride' her around the round yard.
She has only had the saddle on about 3-4 times, and she really couldn't care less! No fuss, no tension, no playing up on day 3 or any other time! Stirrups bashing her up the side as she cantered around, reins flapping etc. no issues! Her biggest concern has been a plastic bag, and that only lasted until she decided to chew on it and it didn't bite back...
She fussed quite allot about having the bit in for the first time and the second time but she has improved allot, now lowering her head and accepting it as soon as I ask.
I'll see how she goes this afternoon and I might sit on her fully, then just hop on and off, no riding around yet, I'm too worried about making myself look like an idiot! haha
She also had her first lesson with the wash bay yesterday, she was not impressed but was fairly good, ran out a few times then dug her little toes in and refused to go back in, at which point I turned of the hose, got her in there, tied her up and walked off and left her for 1/2 an hr... that sowed a thought. She was very happy to be my friend afterwards.
The only nastiness I've found in her so far is a strong dislike of a Quarter horse that I rode a couple of days ago, she attacked him this morning and showed him who she belonged to...
Shes fantastic Carol!! Love her!!

Cheers,
Noni

We have decided to stand the stallions at stud for the months of August, September and October.  It is for a limited amount of approved mares.  They stand at $1500 each.

I have some news from Noni Seagrim who is competing on CP Louisville (Chronicle DV x CP Louiza).

Hi,
I took Louie to Coolamon last weekend for his qualifying 80km ride, and he did it very successfully in 7hrs 4 mins, with only 3 B's in his log book for the entire ride.
He was determined to have a gallop finish with another big horse, and I had a bit of a struggle to keep him back!! His Heart rates were again a credit to his breeding rather than his lack of fitness!! they were 37, 46, 50. The final vetting was done as it started to get cold and he was a bit shivery down in the arena, which would have put his HR up.
I had intended to ride him completely barefoot but after taking him for a ride on Saturday afternoon I knew i was an extreme liability, he was just too soft from all the rain at home, so I had shoes put on the front and he completed the ride with both back feet bare.
He has fantastic courage and showed me a little bit of what he was capable of on some portions of the 2nd leg, opening up into a huge flying canter, and just cruising!!!! I cant wait to get him really fit and start campaigning him and I cant wait to get started on Kaliente as well.
I had better go, I have 4 stables to clean before breakfast!!
Cheers,
Noni

There isn't that much happening at Coolinda Park at the moment.  We are having a great season with lots of rain.  Grass growing everywhere and the horses are really enjoying it.  We have no foals due this season so that is keeping things quiet as well.  The ag shows are starting in our area so we will be supporting as many of them as we can.  We have donated garlands for the purebred championships at the 3 shows to be held at the Bathurst showgrounds on the long weekend in October 2nd,3rd and 4th.  For programs go to www.majesticstud.wetpaint.com Also on October the 4th is a 'b' class show at Morongla showgrounds.  Lots of arab classes as well as second chance rings, showhunter ring and breed rings.  Lots of chances to qualify for the 'Aussies'. Programs are available on www.emmasshowhorses.com

I will leave you with a photo of the fillies.  This was taken last week when we had a sunny spell.  Thanks to Belinda Richardson for her photography skills.  From left to right is:  CP Ekstaza (WH Zmanor E x Carousel), CP Dances with me (Walidayt x Dancing in the Dark), CP Empress (WH Zmanor E x CP Esmeralda), CP Dewiza (WH Zmanor E x CP Darowizna), CP Waltzing Matilda (Walidayt x CP Montana) for sale, CP Wizja (WH Zmanor E  x Carousel), CP Elza (WH Zmanor E x CP Dzaling), CP Tennesee Tess (WH Zmanor E x CP Texas Tilly), and the gelding CP Kazh (WH Zmanor E x CP Klara).  CP Kazh is the only gelding that we have left for sale.

Cheers

Past Updates.

As we are dispersing we have some other items of interest for sale.  Firstly neck sweats.  All sizes and types.   From gullet sweats to poll and over shoulder sweats.  These sweats have not been used for at least 10 years as our horses have not needed them.  The long necks and slim throatlatches come naturally. Make an offer on the ones you want.  Will be sold as individuals or a job lot.  The garlands are selling well.  They start at $20 plus postage.  Let me know if you would like some for an event.  They are an affordable item if you are sponsoring a class.

The following photos are of the 2 weanlings that are offered for sale.  The first is a filly sired by Walidayt imp USA from Sienna Polska (Excellence x CP Chynna).  This filly has had basic handling and is lovely and quiet.  She is a huge mover with a lovely front.  Very correct and should mature 14.3hds plus.  The second weanling is CP ZugarDaddy.  Sired by WH Zmanor E from CP My Girl Lollipop.  He is the sweetest gelding with a lovely nature. He is very pretty and correct and would make an excellent show gelding and ridden horse.  He wants to be your best friend.  He should mature approx 14.2hds.  Then they had a lovely play together!  Photo credit Belinda Richardson.

Also as you may have noticed we get up to all sorts of things at Coolinda Park.  Pictured below is one of them.  You never know what may join our farm!!

I had a visit from breeders in New Zealand.  Phillip and Alison Higgins from Nelson.  Although not nearly long enough it was great to be able to show the horses to people who were really interested in seeing the polish bloodlines and of the course the horses had a wonderful time following them around and being nosey.  It was a very interesting time and I wish them well on there journey in Australia and going to Kentucky to compete with the NZ squad at WEG.

Till next time

Past Updates

Things are really starting to move at Coolinda Park.  The horses are selling and heading off to their new homes.  Best of luck to all purchasers and I know that they will bring as much happiness to you as they have to me.

We have also been to a couple of shows in the last couple of months.  Firstly Arabs Inc held their Autumn Affair at Canberra.  This year they were able to run foal classes at the beginning of the show.  We took 2 foals for these classes.  CP Walencia (Walidayt imp USA x CP Errika) pictured below, was shown in the pure arabian filly class.  As it was her first outing it was all very exciting.  I'm sure she grew to at least 17hds!  She won her filly class and then went on to win Champion Purebred Foal .  We also took CP Adasha Flazh (WH Zmanor E x CP Aflikka Soot) the Arabian Pony colt and he went out into the open breed foals, won his classes and then Champion Open breed foal.  He then won Champion Derivative foal and had to compete against CP Walencia for Supreme Foal.  Supreme Foal was won by CP Walencia.  She is the first Walidayt imp USA (Ganges x Weltara) to be shown and is doing it so successfully.

The next foal show was at Morongla and we took 3 foals.  CP Walencia (Walidayt imp USA x CP Errika), CP Winston (Walidayt imp USA x CP Hello Dolly) and CP Adasha Flazh (WH Zmanor E x CP Aflikka Soot).  All the foals were very well handled by Rachel Borysko from Sydney.  CP Walencia continued on her winning way by receiving Rsv Champion Purebred Foal.  CP Winston was a very good boy but a little overawed by it all.  CP Adasha Flazh won all his colt classes and received resv Champ Buckskin.  The Walidayt children also won the purebred progeny pair and owners group.  Photo below and left  CP Winston with a garland specially made for the purebred classes.

Last weekend we went to the foal show at Bathurst with the same 3 foals.  CP Walencia had a very scary day and thought that she was just too excited to be shown!  Well over 17hds this time!!  She placed second in her filly class.  CP Winston took it all in his stride and won the colt class and then won Resv Champion Purebred Foal.  CP Adasha Flazh pictured below, again won all his colt classes and was awarded Champion Buckskin and Resv Champion Arabian Derivative.  Another relaxed and enjoyable show.

We show our foals as naturally as possible and use these shows as experience for them.  They arent clipped and are out there to have a relaxed time and enjoy themselves.  They stay tied to the float and eat their hay and have a sociable time.  When at home they run in the paddock together to play and grow.  The above photos were all taken at Morongla show by Belinda Richardson of  Khaliffa Arabians & Bullmastiffs.

In the sales news we have CP Kaliope and M Essential heading off to their new homes in Victoria.  These mares are heading to the fire ravage area of Victoria to re-establish a damaged stud.  We wish them all the best with their future breeding program.  CP Kaliente has been sold into an endurance home.  She will be broken in and taken on the rides when ready.  Keep an eye out for her.  CP Montana may soon be joined by another as well.  Which one will it be??  More photos have been added to the sales list.

I have been able to sponsor the purebred foal championships at all these foal shows with garlands that I have been making.  I am also sponsoring the purebreds at the All breeds foal show at Hawkesbury on the 18th July and at the all breeds Youngstock show at Holbrook on the 1st of August.  So if you would like garlands for the purebred classes or are interested in them for any part of an event please let me know.

Till next time

I have just added a couple of photos onto the sales page.  CP Montana is sold and going to her new home in Victoria.

I have made the decision to have a dispersal of all my pure polish Arabians.  This decision has not come lightly.  There are many reasons for the sale of the horses.  All of them are in fat condition and fully registered.  The first stage of the dispersal includes the following horses.

The mares include:

sired by Warranty imp/exp USA

Captivate
M Carousel
Essential

sired by Creme Dynasty imp USA

CP Kaliope
CP Xza Xza

Past Updates

I have some endurance news from Noni Seagrim and her gelding CP Louisville (Chronicle DV x CP Louiza):

Hi,
Just a quick line to say hello and to let you know that Lou did another successful training ride last weekend.
He was barefoot with out boots all the way around the rather demanding course. It was his first bare foot ride and his performance was exceptional. He's gigantic flowing trot blew everyone away, and he was reasonably well behaved after some excitement at the start of the ride, he does a lovely side pass!!
His pre ride Heart Rate was a little silly 52 BPM, but it was his first ride of the season and he was a little exited. Everyone of his scores was a perfect A. Also due to our uncertainty of being able to load and unload him from our truck, I rode him from Forest Hill In Curtain, Canberra to the ride base at the Kambar Pony Club so instead of doing just 40 km he ended up doing 50km +. A very good effort for him, with minimal training.
I hope to take him to Coonabarrabran Equestrian Expo this year as a part of the school team, it should allow both of us to gain a little insight into the wide world out side of endurance!!!  I find out tomorrow if I have made the team, so I'll let you know!!!
Cheers,
Noni

Some show results from Goulburn show:

Coolinda Park Azpark (WF Zmanor E x Coolinda Park Aflame) owned by Catherine Burgess of "Manton Park", Yass and Coolinda Park Eksplojza (WF Zmanor E x Coolinda Park Erikka) flew the flag for Coolinda Park at the 2010 Goulburn Show and showed what wonderful ambassadors they are for the Arabian breed with their calmness and acceptance of all that goes on at agricultural shows. Azpark (or Sparky the Wonder Horse) showed well for his owner, Catherine,  and did a lovely, well balanced work out and was just pipped at the post for the Champion Purebred Led Gelding award but came away with a well deserved Reserve Champion sash. Catherine has got him looking great and his colour and shine are a credit to the way Catherine looks after him.  This was only his second show so well done to both Sparky and Catherine.

Eksplojza leased from Coolinda Park by Judith Perkins of Bellmount Forest via Gunning, NSW has had limited showing experience as well and this was her second show for the 2009/2010 show season.  She is a late foal and has taken long to mature but has really filled out in recent times and is starting to look like more like a four year old rather than the gangly filly she was last year.  Her head has dried out a lot and she is a lovely fronted mare with a fine, long, swan like neck.  In maturing she has still retained the substance and refined elegance that will stand her in good stead in years to come.  In her mare class she stood beautifully for Judith and stretched kindly when asked and "gave" at just the right time.  At the same time as her workout, some motor bike riders on the sidelines decided that it was a good time to start up their bikes and jump them onto the ute.  Eksplojza's eyes stood out on stalks but she responded well and did a lovely workout despite all the action nearby.  She was awarded Champion Led Purebred Mare.

After showing Catherine and Judith celebrated their respective wins over coffee, wonderful chicken sandwiches and Anzac biscuits whilst Sparky and Eksplojza munched on their hay nearby.  Both Catherine and Judith felt the effort of coming to the show was worth it and look forward to getting out on the western show circuit next season and again flying the flag for Zmanor and Coolinda Park!

And now from New Zealand:  Belinda Symons from Pegasus Bay Arabians has been competing on her pure polish mare CP Lucja (Creme Dynasty imp USA x G Lattika).  Here she has been sashed Res Champion Novice Park Hack at the local Ag show and is extremely proud.  Her smile says it all.

Some sale news.  Mark Tulley and Lance Chapman of Armidale have been to Coolinda Park and picked up their new WH Zmanor E gelding from CP Lingxia bint Sepia.  He is a full brother to CP Linkz and in their capable hands is sure to be as successful.  Mark and Lance were able to spend a few days at Coolinda Park and a great time was had by all.  Stay tuned for what else they have taken with them!

CP Essenzia (WH Zmanor E x Vanessa Lea) will soon be leaving to her new home in Rockhampton QLD.  Joining her on the trip will be her Mother Vanessa Lea.  More details to come.

Past Updates

I have some photos from the Dilutes Australia Championships held at Wagga in December.  CP Adazha Flazh (WH Zmanor E x CP Aflikka Soot) was shown beside his mum and had a fantastic time. He is a buckskin Arabian Pony colt and the second coloured foal sired by WH Zmanor E.  He is now weaned and starting his show career without mum.  And doesn't he know he is special!  Photo credit Alicia Birch Photography.  His Mum CP Aflikka Soot (Brampton Sinbad x CP Aflikka) was also very successful at this show.  CP Aflikka Soot will be rejoined to WH Zmanor E next season for another stunning Arabian Pony.

We also took CP Linkz (WH Zmanor E x Lingxia bint Sepia) for the purebred classes at Wagga.  Linkz walked away with Supreme Champion Purebred as well as Resv Champion Led Galloway.  It was the first time she was shown in the Galloway ring and really flew the flag for purebred arabians.  All photos Alicia Birch Photography.

The following photos are of Emily over the last 12 months.  Her shetland Thorpeville Amos, has been taken to a lot of shows with her as well as doing Pony Club.  Emily loves to show at halter and can often be seen giving him 'halter lessons' and trotting him everywhere.  Many judges and stewards have commented on how well she gets him to stand and 'she shows him like an arab!'.

This one was taken at Canberra Royal 2009.  Emily was 6 and Buddy 5.  Photo credit Nicole Hewitt - All creatures photography

Photo on the right Buddy and Emily at Morongla show in October working out for the handler class which they won.

The next one was taken at the Dilutes show in December.  Emily was in the fancy dress classes with CP Aflame N Sin (Brampton Sinbad x CP Aflame).

Keep an eye out for Emily and Toppgunn as they enter the ring this year.  They have started dressage with a training day on the weekend and Emily is all excited about it.

I have some sales news for you.  Lisa and Fred Smith of Foxridge Stud in Coffs Harbour have purchased 3 horses from us.  They now have added to there stud the 2yo chestnut filly CP Frezja (WH Zmanor E x CP Foxiling), the weanling filly CP Dahling (Chronicle DV X CP Dzaling) and a future sire CP Ganztar (WH Zmanor E x CP Chicago Lil).  We hope to see these horses out in the showring in the future.  Congratulations.

I have altered the sales list and added some more females.  I need to get some more photos but things are a bit busy at the moment  with all foals weaned so all the stables are full.  They will soon be added to the site.

Cheers

Carole

Happy New Year! Hope the New Year finds you all happy and well.  We had a great break over Christmas and enjoyed time with the family.

Lots has been happening at Coolinda Park.  We went to the Gala Championship Show run be Dilutes Australia at Wagga.  It was held in the indoor arena at the University and was fantastic.  We took both the coloured Arabian Ponies, CP Aflame N Sin (Brampton Sinbad x CP Aflame) and CP Aflikka Soot (Brampton Sinbad x CP Aflikka), and CP Linkz (WH Zmanor E x Lingxia bint Sepia) for the pure bred classes on the Sunday.  CP Aflikka Soot also had her colt foal at foot, CP Adazha Flazh sired by WH Zmanor E.  We had a very successful weekend coming home with multi champions with the ponies, Resv Champion Galloway and Supreme purebred Arabian with CP Linkz.

Pictured above is CP Linkz (WH Zmanor E  x Lingxia bint Sepia).  Photo credit Alicia Birch photography.  More photos from this weekend to follow.

Some news about our youngest Pure Polish stallion Walidayt (imp USA).  Walidayt is currently at Dumaresq stud, Dunedoo.  Deanna writes

Wally in the river !

I Have been back riding after NY and Have been just getting Wal use to all the water and muddy stuff around. But today was the day we had to tackle the river - its finally low enough as well ! We had about 8 inches of rain so the river was quite high to say the lest - we lost our bridge as well !

I had ridden him through after Roy had lead him down to the river edge. Wal is still very unsure about the "boggy bits" but trusts us enough to follow . I then went for a ride and on my return to the river Roy once again came down to help. He led him down and I we went across. Then I asked him again to go back but Wal had had enough wet feet for the day so he started to try to rear up and try to run away. I rode him down again to the river and then I got off him and then Roy lead him in (e.g photo 1 ) once in the river again Roy then got on and rode him back and forth a few times (photo 2) getting him use to it. Wal was more worried about the muddy edges than the actual water but on the whole he was pretty good. We will see how he goes tomorrow...

Thanks Deanna.  Its good to see horses out working.  Walidayts' foal crop has been outstanding this year.  We have a colt and a filly that we will be showing at the foal shows.  They have the most wonderful temperament like their father and when cantering around the paddock you could imagine riding for miles on them.  We do have one Walidayt filly for sale.  Please check the sales list for Waltzing Matilda.  Now for some news from Noni Seagrim and CP Louisville.

Hi Carol,
Just a quick update on Lou, we did a 40km ride at Woodstock on the 17th-18th of October, and proved once again what a little trooper he is!
He was a bit exited at Pre-ride wich pushed his heart rate right up, but was perfect during the ride. He had less than 2 weeks training leading up to the ride, after about 8 months off while I've been at school, but was barely tried the next morning and never paused in his brisk pace.
My dad has expressed an interest in starting endurance and requested Louie as his mount for next year due to his cute careful manner, and loving nature!!
So with some help from Dad, Louie will be qualified next year and I may also apply to have him put on to the Australian Squad, because as so many people have said his is the "pocket rocket" and the "secret weapon" in my paddock!!!
He is now bouncing around school, the most perky horse in the region, excelling in jumping and not bad in dressage either.
Thanks again for a wonderful little horse, he is awesome!!!!
Cheers,

Noni Seagrim

We love to hear from Noni and her 'pocket rocket'.  I have a bit of different news for you.  I'll let you read it first.....

Hi there'

Early last year I purchased myself a beautiful arabian that was in quite poor condition, but very quiet.  Late last year I  recieved a call from a detective that was fairly sure that my horse was a stolen horse that he had been looking for.  He took some hair samples and did dna testing on him and sure enough my Cheyno was the horse that they were lookng for.  My heart sank, as I tried to fight back the tears.  My family and I had put so much work and love into him, only to be told that he may not be able to stay with us.

The detective gave me a small amount of information about the life Cheyno had before our family, and it was not too good.  It did however help to explain some of the traits/quirks that he was displaying...particularly his dislike of men.

I saw that you mentioned Cheyno on your sight as a stolen horse and how upset you were so I thought I would email you and let you know that he has been with us for what seems like forever and we love him to pieces.  He is good with my husband now, but still very wary of most men.  I have found a farrier that recognizes how sensitive he is, and Cheyno is getting to trust him more each time his feet are done.  His favourite food is choc weet bix...probably not the best thing for a horse, but he would get in the back of the car just so he could smell them.  He is broken in and can spin on a dime when asked, but can shy at things in the paddock still.  We are working on that.  Once again, he is just the most precious little(big) man and we all love him so much.

I got the paperwork today to say that he really does belong to us. (Big celebration tea tonight).  I have been on the internet all night looking up your sight and trying to find out as much information as I can about him.  I am very impressed with your horses and the breeding and history behind them.  If there is any information you can give me on him I would very much appreciate it.

I hope that my ramblings have helped to put your mind at rest about his whereabouts and the home that he now has, (Did I mention how much we love him).

Again if there is any information you can give me about his history/registration/photo's of him etc, then I would be very greatful.

Have a great day

Janelle

This horse is CP Xzizzling.  He was sold to QLD  and all was well until he was reported stolen.  Some time later we received a call from the stock squad in QLD.  We gave them as much help as we could including mentioning it on this site.  We didnt think that they would ever find him but finally we had a call to say they had found the horse.  Thankfully it was with people who love him and now he can truly learn to trust again.  He was a lovely gelding sired by WH Zmanor E from the very successful show mare Xia Xiang.  Such a happy ending for him.

We will soon be starting to wean our foals.  Just waiting for the heat to away!  The full brother to CP Linkz has been sold to Mark Tully from Armidale.  Mark has previously purchased geldings from us and I am sure he will do really well with this bloke.  Watching him in the paddock today and I had a 'double take' and thought 'which foal is that?'  He trotted across the paddock and then stood stretching his long neck.  A very handsome foal who looks like he will follow in his sisters footsteps.

There is a new stallion at Coolinda Park.  Manildra Rob Roy is a very successful Palomino pony stallion.  He is the grandsire of our Arabian Ponies and is staying here for a while.  He is having a holiday from his home at Brampton Pony Stud in Wagga.  So far Roy has adopted a lamb as a friend and is really starting to enjoy having words with Zmanor over the fence.  A cattle truck stopped in and Roy thought it was dropping off girls for him.  He was so excited and telling everyone till a cow got off the truck.  He turned and went up the other end of the paddock as I dont think she was pretty enough!  Visitors are most welcome to come and see Roy.  He may even grace the show ring again!

As you can see we have been updating the web site and all the pages.  It has been a slow process and is still going so please bear with me.  It is a steep learning curve!

Past Updates

I have added some more mares and fillies to the sales list.  Please contact us for more information.  Also the geldings are available from weanling to rising 3yo.  Very busy with farm work at the moment, shearing sheep, marking lambs and carting hay.  That's including the normal horse work and everything else.  Lionel is back home from hospital again but is taking things very easy.  Busy times ahead!

I have some news from Jacqui Langfield and her WH Zmanor E Arabian Pony filly, Birdwood Romanz.

Romanz, or Lady as I call her, is having a super year!
She kicked it off by winning the Best Head and Best Trot for Junior Derivatives at the NSW Arabian State Titles in September.
Then I took her over the weekend just gone, to the NSW All-Welsh where she won the Best Part Welsh Futurity Exhibit, which was quite a thrill amongst all the bay riding pony types.
Then we went on up to the Hunter Valley Arabian Show where she had a blinding day! Started off with Runner-up Best Youngstock Derivative, amongst a lovely line-up of horses and ponies. There were over 10 in each age class for yearling, 2 and 3 year olds. She then won the Arabian Pony Mare/Filly class against some well-decorated senior mares, her first win in an Arabian Pony class!! So then we went into the Breed Rings, and won the Champion Palomino and Champion Partbred APSB. So took her back to stables for a rest and little break before going back out for the Supreme Led Breed Exhibit. It was another superb line, including East Coast Champions and other lovely senior horses - Lady was the WINNER!! She was 1st on Judge 1's scorecard and second on Judge 2, but the only horse to be in the top 5 on both judge's cards. To say I was happy would be quite an understatement - I was ecstatic, her first Supreme win.

I just adore this filly, she makes me smile each time I see her. And to watch her free play is just breath-taking. She truly is a special filly!

Hope all is well at the Stud, and your foaling has been successful and healthy.

Cheers, Jacqui

Congratulations Jacqui, Romanz is a beautiful filly and always turned out immaculately. So WH Zmanor E has now sired two coloured foals.  Birdwood Romanz is from a Palomino Birdwood pony mare and the latest is our buckskin Arabian Pony colt CP Adasha Flazh, from our buckskin mare CP Aflikka Soot. Its good to see different colours in the paddock! I have taken a couple of photos of the Walidayt imp USA foal from CP Errika.

Her name will be CP Walencia.

Only a short update today....till next time

Past Updates

The mares have now finished foaling.  We have had some lovely foals this year including a buckskin Arabian Pony colt, CP Adasha Flazh (WH Zmanor E x CP Aflikka Soot).  He is very special and a top pony foal.  Really looking forward to showing this bloke.  Another special foal this year is a filly sired by Walidayt from CP Errika.  A very flashy chestnut filly with lots of colour.  The Walidayt foals are proving their heritage and we are absolutely delighted with the way he is breeding.  The foal at the right is a colt foal sired by Walidayt from CP Hello Dolly.  Below is CP Hello Dolly (Chronicle DV x G Leilani).  At the moment this foal is unamed so if you have any suggestions please send them through.  The chestnut is the filly from CP Errika and sired by Walidayt.  Love the markings! Some more photos on the foal pages.

I have some news on sales.  As you can see from the sales page some of the horses have new homes.  CP Enya,  CP Edon and CP Essencia will soon be going to their new home In Colac, Victoria.  Karen Hendley from Jarrah Lodge and in Karen's own words - "I am so excited, and the bloodlines, oh my gosh, WOW."  So Karen is very excited and is sure to have the mares out in the show ring as soon as possible.  And of course we never know who else might be joining them!

I have some news from Catherine Burgess who purchased the gelding CP Azpark (WH Zmanor E x CP Aflame).

Dear Carole, Lionel and Shannon

> I was wondering what to write to thank you for giving me the opportunity to own one of your lovely animals.  The story went like this - After being totally disillusioned by an Arab horse breeder I still wanted to purchase a
new horse which bought me to looking through Horse deals and seeing your add along with numerous others.  I spent a whole week just looking at horses and not just Arabians. I was specific in what I wanted as this would
be my last young horse purchase.
When I rang Coolinda Park and gave my list of required criteria I knew nothing of the Stud at all, I was greeted in a professional manner and advised that what I was looking for could possibly be found at the stud and best I come and have a look.  I ventured to Cowra and met with Carole and was shown the progeny that was for sale.  Thank god I didn't have the float. There was one horse that stood out and in my opinion had the most beautiful eye and believe it or not that was the horse that Carole had thought was the one that I would buy all along.  I was able to handle, lead this horse from day one his manners were impeccable it was clear that he did not have a mean bone in his body, I was informed that this mother had a temperament to die for (Coolinda Park Aflame).
So began my journey with Coolinda Park Azpark ( Sparkie the Wonder Horse) I got the new addition home and let him finish growing and develop mentally.  Sparkie went to be broken in at the age of 4 due to his owner being so fussy in who was to break the Wonder Horse in.  He went to a local quarter horse breaker and spent three months there rounding up sheep and cattle and learning to be a real horse.  The Wonder Horse is a nickname due to his one eyed owner never being able to find fault with him and still to this day I think some times he is just too good to be true.
About two weeks ago I decided it was time to take Sparkie to his first show and what a day it was he loaded beautifully and off we went. It  was very please to be able to take him to a show where his stud could see the
lovely animal that he had grown in to (he was after all my wonder horse).   Coolinda Park has sponsored the Arab classes at the show and Carole was presenting the ribbons and prizes.  Sparkie as usual took it all in his calm stride.
His results for the day were:

1st classic head
1st gelding class
3rd trot (mother doesn't run fast enough)
 champion gelding
 supreme champion Arabian

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for this wonderful animal, I can put on the gloss but if I don't have the quality product to work with to start with I wouldn't have anything. He is a true gentleman every day of his life
in every way and he is dearly loved and cared for.

It was a pleasure to be able to support the Arabian classes at Morongla show.  It is so obvious how much Sparkie loves his Mum.  Such a delight to see somebody so excited about winning with their beloved horse.

Thats it for now.  We are really busy making hay and harvesting at the moment and Lionel has been having heart problems so a short stay in hospital for him.  Hopefully all is well now and although recovery takes time he will soon be out and about again on the tractor.

The mares have started foaling.  Our first foal is a lovely colt from Lingxia bint Sepia.  Sired by WH Zmanor E this bloke is for sale as a colt until he is weaned and then he will be gelded.  He is pictured left with his mum.  Our second foal is a black colt sired by Walidayt from CP Hello Dolly.  I will be getting some photos tomorrow of him.  He looks very special.  The next one is due in a couple of days  so hopefully there will be some more photos.

The mares have started to sell and CP Kaliope and CP Xza Xza will soon be off to there new homes.  These mares have been very successful brood mares for us and now have the opportunity to go on as brood mares for another stud. I've added some more photo's to the sales page and the foal pages.  More to follow.

Now for some sleep!!!  Carole

SALE O!  SALE O!

We are having a big spring sale.  Prices start at $500.  Please have a look at the sales page.  Mares, fillies and geldings. Many are now going for $1000 to $2000.  Payment plans available and leasing can be discussed.  Numbers need to be reduced.  If you are looking to bring some proven polish bloodlines into your horses then now is the time.  They are already here in Australia so no importation expenses to get the up to date polish breeding. As we are reducing our breeding numbers we would like to see others have the opportunity to incorporate the Polish bloodlines into your own breeding.

Its the last day of winter and we are eagerly awaiting our new foals to hit the ground.  Such an exciting time of the year....anxiety, sleep deprivation, no fingernails left all of the good stuff!  12 foals due, including one special Arabian Pony sired by Zmanor from Coolinda Park Aflame's grand-daughter, CP Aflikka Soot (Brampton Sinbad x CP Aflikka).  Three Pure Polish foals are due by our Ganges PASB son Walidayt (Imp. USA). 3 Pure Polish by Zmanor and 1 full sibling to CP Linkz(WH Zmanor E x Lingxia bint Sepia), also 4 Pure Polish by Chronicle DV (Imp USA).

On the Social scene, today we have a New Zealand friend and fellow breeder - Belinda Simonds arriving for a short holiday, and in this time we plan to visit Deanna and Roy of Dumaresque Stud and catch up with Walidayt (Imp USA) hoping we will be able to bring you some up to date photos from the visit  We have recently had a most enjoyable visit with the girls from Eskdale Stud in Q'land, and they took lots of photos.  Judith Perkins from Canberra is another visitor, a long time breeder and competitor in the Arabian Scene with much success over many years Judith has been showing a Zmanor (Imp USA) filly and she has won Supremes in Judith's capable hands.

Clarizza has gone to her new home past Rockhampton Q'land, and we expect she will quickly endear herself to  her new owners with her sweet and loving nature, a trait typical of the fillies sired by WH Zmanor E (Imp USA).The other two sired by him in Q'land, a filly CP Seattle Zue and the gelding CP Azhley both owned by Lynda and Danny Rowan, have both won Championships at A class level for the very happy owners, both have the ability and type to have very successful careers in the Show Ring at a high level.

Seattle Zue (WH Zmanor E x CP Chicago Lil) - full sibling due this season and will possibly be for sale.

Pictured below is Linda with CP Azhley (WH Zmanor E x CP Aflikka) at the Triumph show in QLD where they won Champion gelding.  photo credit Tracey Bavington.

Pictured at Left is a photo taken by our recent visitor Tracey Keller from Eskdale Arabians in Qld.  Chronicle DV (Wiersz x Cosmipollytan) enjoys having visitors to his paddock.  He lives in a 5 acre paddock with his own shed surrounded by mares and youngstock.  Down the lane is WH Zmanor E in his own 5 acre paddock and shed that he enjoys boxing with.  Both stallions love nothing better than playing and galloping around at full speed and coming to sliding halts.  Below is a photo taken of WH Zmanor E by Tracey on the same day.

Pictured right is CP Frezja (WH Zmanor E x CP Foxiling).  CP Frezja was champion at the foal shows and has grown to nearly 15hds as a 2 yo.  This beautiful big filly is available for sale at $5000 to an approved home.  Please contact us for more information.  We still have a lot of horses for sale and the new foals will soon be arriving.  We have 3 geldings available 2 of which are show champions.  CP Zailor (WH Zmanor E x CP Hello Dolly) is a big moving chestnut with lots of bling.  He should mature a big 15 hands easily and is very quiet.  He was res champion foal to CP Frezja and very easy to do anything with.  A real peoples horse!
CP Kazh (WH Zmanor E x CP Klara) is a grey 2yo that is so quiet you could do anything with him.  He was shown as a foal and was Champion Arabian at the Bathurst foal and Res Champion behind CP Emprezz at the Morongla foal show.  He is a lovely pleasant gelding that would love to be someones best friend.

Please have a look at the horse list to see the mares and fillies that are available.

Till next time

Past Updates

Finally the computer is fixed again, and I can get you some of the news that has been happening here.  We have had a couple of sales with one mare being sold to New Zealand, 3 fillies to QLD and 1 to Victoria.  We have also competed at 2 foal and youngstock shows and have horses competing in endurance with trainers.

First the sales.....Coolinda Park Zweet Dreamz (WH Zmanor E x Dream) now has new owners in New Zealand.  CP Zweet Dreamz wont be making the trip to NZ at this stage, she will be left at Coolinda Park to foal and then continue being bred to the polish stallions.  This allows her foals to go to NZ in her place.  CP Miss Ellie (Chronicle DV x Dancing in the Dark) and CP Seattle Zue (WH Zmanor E x CP Chicago Lil) have gone to their new home in Rockhampton, QLD.  They have gone to live with Lynda and Danny and CP Azhley.  CP Azhley competed at his first show and Lynda has sent her results:

Hello Carole,

This morning we took Azhly to his first show - run by the Central Queensland Quarter Horse Assoc. He went in the any other breed class.  The only gelding there - then went up against a mare (QH type) for Champion the very Quarter Horse judge gave him Champion - He was the better horse but I thought she would just go for the QH type.  So how is that for a start to his show career.  He was so beautifully behaved didn't shy at the fluro orange flags or anything else - just strutted around looking beautiful.
He did get quite a few comments like - "Gee isn't he a good type for an Arabian"  and "he is so quiet and sensible"  We were very proud of him.   Oh and yesterday afternoon we thought we should give both Azhly and Zue a float lesson.  Zue walked straight on and then Azhly had a look but went on without any argument.  That is the first time he had been on the float - he had only been on the truck to come here about 1 year ago,Love Lynda

That is so good to hear.  I have added a photo of Miss Ellie with the saddle on for the first time too.  Cant wait to see her out under saddle.  Another sale to Rockhampton is Clarizza (WH Zmanor E x S Polska).  Clarizza will be going to Rockhampton very soon to another arabian enthusiast for a show career and later brood mare.  More details later.  CP Elizja (Chronicle x CP Enya) has been sold to Victoria and will soon be gracing the showring down there.

I have a photo of CP Macgyver (Chronicle DV x Facincation) doing his first endurance ride at Tumburumba.  He completed the ride successfully and is now training for his next one.

Walidayt imp USA was taken to his first show with Deanna of Dumaresq stud.  Deanna has been riding Walidayt and decided to take him out.  Walidayt won his class and then went on to win Champion Stallion against lots of pony stallions.

Nicole from Ashton Park Arabians has sent of photo of the weanling filly CP Arizona (WH Zmanor E x CP Aflight).  CP Aflight won the trot class at many shows including East Coast and this filly has the combined trot of both her mother and father.  The photo speaks for itself!

I have added a new link on our links page.  Its for Jim Findlay from Bomac Animal Health Pty Ltd.  Jim writes:

We are an Animal Health Company owned and based in Australia with approximately 200 registered products across both the Veterinary and OTC spectrum. Our major Horse products include Imax Gold, Imax LV, Muscaban, Triclovet, Teraflex and many others.

Have a look at there website and maybe try some of their products.

Till next time I will leave you with a photo of our weanlings inspecting what we are doing. Going left to right there are 3 WH Zmanor E fillies and then 3 Walidayt fillies.
